Litigation Paralegal

With a heart as big as the Wyoming sky she was raised under, paired with a passion for public service that existed from her earliest days, Victoria’s drive to do more and be more, for herself and for others, was the catalyst for her life’s calling to be found in the world of law. She’ll admit there was a brief flirtation with the idea of becoming a lawyer, only to realize she was better suited – and much happier – being a support pillar and working for justice behind the scenes.

Earning her degree in Criminal Justice from Buffalo State University (formerly Buffalo State College) in 2021, graduating with honors even in the thick of the COVID-19 pandemic, Victoria has subsequently spent time on “both sides of the aisle”: working in criminal law and civil law, for plaintiff and defense firms alike. She would go on to earn her certificate in Paralegal Studies in 2023, while working full time at the Erie County District Attorney’s office in Buffalo, NY.

As a litigation paralegal at Schmittgens Injury Law Firm, Victoria works closely with Rob on many of the firm’s cases. Victoria is often called to action when litigation becomes necessary assisting in case file management, organizational and research skills, work product production, and coordinating with clients. Victoria is well respected for her deduction to excellence, her respect for all she encounters, and the compassion she exhibits for her clients.

When not at the office, Victoria can be found living on the other side of the river in Illinois, near Scott Air Force Base. Victoria loves spending time with those she loves; her mom Jackie, her husband Mike, and their two “boys” (their cats), Scotty and McCoy. Victoria also enjoys video gaming, pop culture (especially Star Trek), and cheering on the Buffalo Bills.
